NHS
Sustainability Homepage Redesign

I had the opportunity to redesign the sustainability homepage for NHS Supply Chain, with the aim of improving how the organisation communicated its sustainability efforts. The challenge was to make the page more engaging, informative, and visually aligned with the NHS brand, while ensuring the content was accessible and easy to navigate.

Design Approach

I began by restructuring the homepage to enhance user flow, organising the content into clear sections that highlighted NHS Supply Chain’s sustainability goals and achievements. I introduced visually compelling elements, such as icons and imagery, to break up the text and convey key information at a glance. The design emphasised clarity and simplicity, ensuring users could quickly grasp the NHS's sustainability initiatives.

User-Centered Design

Understanding the target audience—healthcare professionals and suppliers—I focused on presenting information in a straightforward yet engaging manner. The page was designed to be accessible, using NHS-compliant colour schemes and typography. This ensured that all users, regardless of ability, could easily interact with the page. I also worked with the sustainability team to ensure that the content aligned with their goals and messaging.

Outcome

The redesigned homepage successfully communicated NHS Supply Chain’s commitment to sustainability, with improved user engagement and accessibility. The new design not only made it easier for visitors to find relevant information but also reinforced the NHS's commitment to environmentally conscious practices in a visually appealing way.
